Whats in My Uni Bag!

I’ve always looked seeing inside peoples bags on blogs and YouTube videos but my bag normally just contains uni stuff and all I take out on a non uni day is my folder so I thought I’d do a ‘what’s in my uni bag’!

Note Pad – I have many! Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse and Butterfly! I love these as it means I can still keep my folder organised but if I don’t need to get my folder out I can just whack the pad which is good when I have uniform in this poor bag as well!

Folder – I have two of this identical to each other, for pretty shelfness reasons (that is not a word but for the purpose of this post IT IS)! These are kept super organised but I’m going to be doing a post next week on how they are kept organised and easy to flick back through! I get lever archers for the boring reason of there is so much paper that a normal folder is filled within the first 5/6 weeks and we have 13!

Diary – this is a life saver while I’m in uni as I forget things so easy and my best friend likes to keep me busy! This normally is forgotten when I’m at home as I take every day at a time and have a rule of ‘no plans’, as while at uni everything is so structured that its nice not to be so military when at home!

Mickey Mouse pencil case – this beauty is from Disneyland Paris when I went back in February (I thought well ahead)! It’s the perfect size for me as I can never find one here that will just fit a few pens in. so inside consists of coloured pens; pink and purple in fact and ofcourse my Disney autograph pen which is pink and Disney so it had to be homed there! I have highlighters for when I can’t be bothered to write but have printed the seminar notes off (only happens when I’m bored but they are there in case of an emergency)!

Purse and Keys – this purse is about a year old; the oldest I’ve ever had a purse in use for but it’s just so beautiful and was purchased from accessorize! It contains not very much, being a student and all that jazz! My lovely punch of keys consists of one key! They rest of the jiggle jangle are keyrings; two of which came from Disneyland Paris

Now the front pocket is so me! Full of lipsticks, fob watch, name badge and mirror and ofcourse the good old hand sanitizer! The lipsticks in here always depends on what I put on that morning and they normally come out the next day, but not always, as you can tell by this picture! The name badge and fob watch normally stay put so I don’t forget them on a uniform day but my name badge makes me smile so I like it there! The mirror is the Cath Kidston one I got free (mentioned here) and is well used on the uni bus. Hand sanitizer is a must just because you never know what you may touch without knowing!

Everything in this bag I feel is necessary but when I can’t get something in I have pick up from uni I get very frustrated and think to myself ‘I’m sure I could have left some of this out’; but this never happens EVER!!...anyone else have that problem?

MAC ‘Girl About Town’!!

I was so excited to have unwrapped this when I received it for my birthday! I've looked at it every time I've been at MAC counters but never picked it up. Now I have one though I want more but that’s not just because it’s MAC but because the wear time is amazing and I don’t know if they are all like this but I’m sure I will find out!

I’m not a red lip kinda girl so always look at pinks but every time I was look at MAC, my eyes always fixated on to this beautiful pink!

The texture is so lovely; I forget I have it on and was checking every hour to make sure it was still there…and it was, for the whole day!!! Not needing to reapply is perfect for me, who really wants to be reapplying all the time, not me!

If this is your kind of colour and you don’t have this I definitely recommend it as it’s completely worth the £15!

I’m now on the lookout for another colour but as this one has caught my eye for so long, I still go to a MAC counter and pick it up to check its name! I’m up for any suggestions on colours you love.

Uni Update #1

hey,

My idea of integrating uni into this blog, I thought I would do little updates on what is going on, what work has got to be done and so forth along with other uni posts that I come up with along the way!

Now I thought the little updates throughout the year but they won’t be an every week thing as some weeks would send you to sleep, they aren’t always interesting as we all have different likes and dislikes, right?!

This year as you may know, my 2nd year had me worrying a little as people tell you stories of the work load etc! It’s actually not all that bad, I’m currently 4 weeks in and not started stressing yet!

It does have more work but a lot of that is work you do outside uni to increase your knowledge and our assignment is mind boggling although isn’t in until after Christmas so have plenty of time to get the good old brain around it!

Before that we have presentations and simulations, most unis call their simulations ‘osces’, but we are not marked on these, we are just assessed to make sure we are confident enough to go out on placements; these might as well be marked as they are actually nerve racking for some weird reason!

So currently I’m thinking about my presentation; this is marked and is worth 30% of the module mark! I keep changing my mind on my topic which is driving me mad, as I don’t want to do the same as someone in my group. I HATE PUBLIC SPEAKING!!

Last year was mainly about patient observations and most of the assignments were reflections on what had been done and what you could have done better, this year is a step up, learning about stuff such as fluid balance and respiratory assessments but I’m sure most people get to see this in their first year placements anyway, so it’s nothing majorly new and we have to do an assignment on a research article which in my eyes is dull so you need to really want it do to get past it!

I will give updates about the work when it’s being done but for now there actually isn't much as to enlightening you with!

Mudd Mask!!

Hey,

I've seen this mask around for a while when browsing Boots but never picked one up, but thought what a better time than now!

My first impression was that it had quite a thick consistency; felt as if the water was separating away from the rest, was a bit strange but when I got passed that I found it very easy to apply and wasn't messy which is a big thumbs up when you want to use a mask but don’t have all the time in the world!

What I liked about this Mudd was that it felt like it was doing something while it was drying. I've come across some in the past, where you can’t feel it doing anything and wonder why you even put it on!

I find that with some masks you never know when it’s dry unless you touch it, and rely on the time to tell you when to take it off, but with this, it dries a different colour which is perfect for someone like me who always forgets to look at the time!

It felt as though there was some kind of toner in this as when it was taken off my skin seemed tighter. It also makes the skin nice a smooth which feels clean!

If you, like me, like to feel a mask is doing something, this would be great for you.

I will be repurchasing this when I've got through the stash I already have in my bathroom to be tried!

Cath Kidston Student Night In!

Hey guys,

This isn't a sponsored post but I thought I’d share with you this amazing student offer that Cath Kidston had to offer for the whole of October.

I heard about this through a friend who found the link on the Cath Kidston twitter page
As the shops only have it for the one night I was super lucky that my local store was 2 days after my birthday.

All students are able to get 20% off anything in store and with every sale costing over £40 (before the discount) you receive one of their goodie bags full of lovely little goodies!

The goodie bag was what won my heart over to go as the shop isn't super close and the times are after shops close; as I knew I was going to spend over £40!

The link to the page which gives you the dates is here

I wanted a Cath Kidston bag since before I started second year but thought I would wait and get it with my birthday money I have asked for; so this student event couldn't have timed itself better!

I decided to get their Garden Birds Backpack as they didn't have my first preference and I thought it was dead cute with the bird and tree design!

The size is amazing!! I get so much in there all at the same time which I a life saver when it comes at 11am-5pm days at uni and you need big folders plus your uniform including shoes!

This bag was meant to be £42 but with the lovely 20% off it was only £33.60; bargain if you ask me!!

As I spent over the £40 mark I received this lovely goodie bag.

Inside I received, Cath Kidston mini mirror which is super handy in the front pocket of my bag, little bag of jelly beans; which didn't stay around for very long! Elemis Freshskin Loving Lips, lip balm which is lovely and smells like mint. A emergency tea bag from the THE*TEASHED and finally a mini tin of Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical!

All being put to good use!

Birthday Haul!!

So last week it was my birthday, yay! And went shopping with my sister (Maman Clarke), double yay!! I love reading what people have received or brought with birthday money as I find them a nice little help guide for gift buying or if you just want to treat yourself, which is me all over!

This has all been gifted in some sort of way, whether that was through a nice wrapped present or money/vouchers found in a lovely card!

1.       ‘Wild Child’ Makeup Bag – this was purchased from Forever 21 for a lovely £7.40.  Previously my makeup bag was one that hung and had clear pockets which I loved for easy to see access; but with my ever so expanding makeup collection I needed something bigger, like who doesn't?! I fell in love with this bag as soon as I seen it, and as it was birthday money I was spending I couldn't walk out the door without it.

2.       Real Techniques Brushes - can you believe these are my first every Real Techniques brushes?!  I've wanted them for like forever, but just not every brought them as I always found something else I wanted more! For my first brushes I wanted the Core Collection and the Shading Brush. David had no idea what to get me so I hinted very loudly; always works very well with David!

3.       Seventeen Cosmetic Bag - I received this set off my best friend as something to open as the main present was a ticket to the theatre; keeper right?! I think this is currently in Boots as one of their Christmas gifts and I would highly recommend the eyeshadows which have a good stay power but the lip crayon is not so good at staying put for very long!

4.       Sleek Eyeshadow Palette – this I love!! Another hint in Davids direction! I've looked at sleek palettes for so long but never picked one up because I always thought I’d never use it as I had an MUA undress me palette which I loved; which has now been put into early retirement! I don’t want to go into too much detail as I will do a post on it soon!

5.   Rimmel Lip Liner – I spotted this when I was popping into boots to grab a drink and put it back down but then when birthday shopping I just couldn't! people that know me well know I won’t go out the house without something on my lips; normally some kind of pink lipstick. So thought this is bound to become a makeup bag essential as soon as I got put in, and I was so right!

6.       Muslin clothes – I have started to hot cloth cleanse my face morning and night and when I brought the product (mentioned here) I came with one cloth!! This lead to me going to Mothercare and looking in there muslin cloth section and come across this 50 pack!! 50 does sound a lot but means I don’t use the same one twice, hygiene is key!

7.       Tangle Tease & Mac Lipstick in ‘girl about town’ – oh my!! For about a year I've wanted both of these but just never got them! Throughout that year I've clearly mentioned these to my big sister in convocation (as she is a beauty/life blogger too)! I see why I wanted them; they are just so good! I'm wearing the lipstick while I write this and it just doesn't feel like there is anything there and it’s been on a good couple of hours and has not moved! The tangle tease needs to be on everyone’s Christmas list if they don’t already have one, it just has to be!

8.       Little Love Potions - when I asked for money and vouchers of people I had planned to get some Benefit minis so I could give them a try and (if I liked them) buy them in their full size! I many do I post on these when I've worn them a little more

9.       Cath Kidston Backpack – I've wanted this since I was looking for a back pack for uni! Love love love it!! In my eyes it’s like I have my own Mary Poppins bag; its bottomless, so much room! It fits my lever arch, nursing uniform and all the handbag clutter! Would recommend this bag to anyone for uni/college/school

Soap and Glory Haul!!

Hey Guys,

So at the beginning of the week, I found myself in Boots to go and repurchase my cleanser and found the 3 for 2 offer and skincare!! Such a sucker for a good offer, I had to take advantage!!

(the poor lighting is due to me wanting to use them and it being 10.30pm)

I have a secret love for soap and glory; even though I don't make it widely know, because I'm not a great fan of the smell of most of their products; it just doesn't do it for me!!

I went there for a cleanser, so thought I'd best get one and picked up their cleanser; Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser. I'm not sure what to make of this yet, I don't know if its the smell or the fact I have to double cleanse before my face is soft! I'm sure I will grow to like it as I normally do!

Then I picked up Amazing Daily Face Polish. Now I love this!! I've never used a polish before so I picked it up to give it a whirl and I don't regret it! It tells you to concentrate of the t-zone first and then spread out. Normally in the mornings I just cleanse, cleanse again, tone and moisturise, but this has now replaced that second cleanse!

To complete the offer I thought I would stay with Soap and Glory and pick up their 2-in-1 Pore Purifying Mask Peel; I love a good mask!! Smells lovely and does lovely things to the skin but I when I used it I didn't notice anything different about my pores, but that may be because they are bigger than average maybe!

I don't want to review them just after a few uses, so I will come back with reviews in a month or two, or they may just appear in a skincare routine post soon!

Superdrug De-Stressing Mud Mask!!

Hey,

As I mentioned in my previous face mask post, I want to make this a weekly thing until I run out of face masks to buy which are low budget!

I purchased this one when I was staying at a hotel last week  and wanted to cheer myself up a little and thought this one was very appropriate (I'm not going to ramble again its all in a post here)

Normally face masks are nothing like the picture but I liked this because it was actually GREEN!! the more you layered; the greener it got...big thumbs up, cheered me up having a green face!!

I didn't pick this up thinking it was going to do anything magical; but my goodness I was impressed!

First of all, I felt relaxed! First time in a few weeks which felt amazing! I'm not one for sitting down and doing nothing when I have a mask on as I'm always having to do something but I was relaxed doing what I was doing.....this mask achieved what I wanted it to achieve there; but it did more!!

For a shop brand face mask, I was amazed by the softness of my skin after I took this off, and woke up with it feeling amazing.

I will definitely be purchasing more from Superdrug! You can purchase this mask on there website here.

Where have I been?

Hey,

Well even though it's probably only been a week or so, it feels weird to be able to write this!

Normally I'm on my blogger account whenever I'm on my PC and will write a blog when I have a free 5 minutes or so.

Since my last blog, my life has been up in the air, so to speak! If you remember my previous post of uni accommodation, you will know i had previous trouble! I found somewhere new and was told I'd be moved in within the following week; well that's not happened and 2 weeks on I'm still not moved in!

I don't go to uni near home and unable to travel from home to uni, as it's near impossible to make it on time as I don't drive! This has meant the company has put me up and the rest of my flat mates up in a hotel...not cool!!

Until yesterday, I didn't know when I'd be moved in so have been very very stressed and worried as this year I have a lot of work to do and the hotel only has free wifi for 30 minutes which I normally use to get my fix YouTube and bloglovin!!

Along with that I've felt very unsettled and unable to do things I really want to do with my time so haven't been happy, especially with the fact iv been unable to blog!

To say I'm relieved that move in is next weekend is an understatement!! I'm spending today getting ready for another few days in the hotel but I'm going to schedule some posts for the week so I can get myself back into my blog routine; as it's been neglected!!

Thank you for the new followers on bloglovin while iv been away, cheered me up immensely!!
